Scott, thanks for your comment. For all of the discussion of Huntsman’s foreign policy experience, his views on foreign policy remain very opaque. I suppose that is as it should be while he is in Beijing, but going back before his appointment I can’t find anything that tells me much about how he thinks about these issues.

How about “consideration” along the lines of consider this or that which actually seems to lead to either rationalizing or being managed down. For some obsecure reason you are expected to take “things” into “consideration” prior to kicking their happy ass to the curb.
